New Academic Building Opens At Lse

Her Majesty The Queen opened a fantastic new building at the London School of Economics (LSE) this morning and Mark, LSE’s local MP, was asked to join her.

At a cost of £71 million, the New Academic Building houses teaching rooms, theatres, a debating chamber and offices. Mark said, ‘This breathtaking building now gives LSE the academic environment it needs to maintain its place as one of the world’s best universities. It is amazing to see this Edwardian property transformed into a modern, flexible and beautiful centre for learning fit for the twenty-first century. It is also exciting to see how new technology and innovative ideas can create environmentally sustainable buildings here in the heart of London”.
