Noone can determine if one will be serving the public and will be elected the moment he or she was born. It is impossible to determine someone’s purpose right after that. Some believe one is destined to be someone in the future, some says that it is only you who can really determine your purpose in this life. The question is, are they born or made?
Acquiring a job from the government is somewhat a bigger responsibility. You are hired to serve the public, and when we say public, it includes everyone even those who have their own private companies. Being a government employee is still different from being a politician. A politician works for everyone as well, however, they lead not just their office’s employees but also the people of the country.

But, if it is really your dream and goal to be known and be part of everyone’s lives, serve the public and make a difference.
The competencies one needs to serve the public are not really difficult to have. Objectively, certificates are just there and can be attained easily. The most significant characteristic a public servant should have is pure heart. If you have this you will not be tempted to do acts that might affect the lives of people and the country you are serving because the welfare of the country and people should be your top priority.
